I saw somewhere an idea of using fresh herbs as groomsmen boutonnieres instead of flowers. I thought, "what a perfect idea! Then the guys don't have to complain about having to wear flowers!" And what better way to adapt this to my wedding than making a DIY project out of it?!
So today, a rainy day of all days, Chuck and I decided to plant a series of herbs that we can grow, use, and collect for the wedding.
While at the garden center, I also found the flowers I want to use for my bouquet. So we bought those too and transplanted, seeded, and watered today to make ourselves a beautiful patio garden! I'm so excited to see what comes of it!
No keep in mind, I have NO green thumb... In fact, I asked the guys at the Lowe's Garden Center if they have a "Geek Squad" type of deal that can come to my house and get me started. They laughed... Not sure what was funny about that. Nonetheless, so far, we are off to a great start! I will update you on the success of our labors!
